The Docomo Pacific CA headend is an ATCI Simulsat 5B satellite dish and 10 racks of electronics in a secure co-lo facility located in San Luis Obispo, CA hosted by
Astound Business Solutions Powered by Digital West
The racks contain the equipment needed to receive and decrypt any video networks available on the North American Satellite arc and deliver them via fiber to the Docomo Pacific cable TV system in Guam. Direct IP Ingestion via internet is also used for a number of networks.
RF Rack
RF Rack contains passive splitters, Quintech active splitters providing DC power to the LNBs and feeding ETL RF matrix switch.
The ETL Matrix Switch is currently a 36 x 48 port switch, expandable to 64 x 64. Connect any IRD to Any RF input remotely or from the front panel.
IRD Racks
Each IRD Rack contains space for 21 IRDs. Each position is prewired for
• Management Ethernet | GigE Mpeg out | ASI out | RF input
• Special slots include multiple RF inputs
• Special slots include SDI or CompBB/analog Outputs
